Allana was a player for Australia at Rugby Sevens 2013 and then sustained a series of injuries to her knees which forced Allana to retire from the field. Allana returned to playing cricket after some time. Allana was the first to play in a women's rugby union game played in New South Wales as was the main focus of the match that was played against Queensland. Allana also added radio to the game, and has regular appearances as part of 2GB's Continuous Call Team. Allana is a teacher with a complete qualification outside of sports. The Courier Mail confirmed the announcement earlier this week. Ferguson has been the woman's representative in the women's league for the past couple of seasons.
